Hi everyone!

This has been a crazy week so far. Even getting here was crazier than normal. The plane that we were on to Denver had engine trouble when we were waiting to take off, so they delayed us an hour or so to fix it. We got here alright though. 

I'm in Wellington, which is about 20 north of Fort Collins. It's more of a rural area, so a lot of the members are really independent. We also split the area, so me and Elder Unruh, my companion, are staying with two other elders while we wait to get an apartment. It's pretty cool though. Fortunately, the zone leaders got us some mattresses, so we're not sleeping on the floor, but we did have to move the weight bench into another room. 

This area is pretty beautiful. We got the side of the zone that has the mountains, so it's nice to drive out there and see the cool landscape. We've also taught a few lessons, which is also cool, but everyone we're teaching right now has been being taught for years. Hopefully, we can say something different that helps those people out. 

We met this little kid that had been brainwashed into hating us. When I say brainwashed, I mean he had been force-fed beliefs without being told why he believes them. He rode his bike over to us and asked how babies are made. So it started out really wack. Then when my companion tried to roll with it and turn it into talking about the premortal life, this little dork kept saying 'I can't hear you'. If you image a snotty little 13-year-old boy, this kid was the embodiment of that. Then he kept saying, 'you ruin people's lives' but when we asked him how he couldn't give us an answer. It was like he was trying to Bible bash but he didn't even know anything about the Bible or our beliefs. It was pretty sad, actually, seeing how brainwashed he was. He didn't even know what he knew.

Otherwise, things have been going pretty good. I'm definitely having lots of new experiences, so that's cool. I'm looking forward to teaching more lessons.
