Elder Pack

Hey everyone! This week we had a funny phone conversation with Ethan.  He and his companion rearranged the furniture in their apartment.  They put some chairs in one of the corner and it turned into a little chatting area.  So they started making videos "In the Corner with Elder Pack."  Ethan shared a couple with us.  He is a funny kid and I'm so glad his personality comes through in his missionary work and that others see it too.  He said they share these in the chats and that people think they are funny.   The missionary work has been going well.  They found some new people to teach last week and one even came to church.  Ethan said that was a welcome change.  It was a mom and her daughter.  The little girl was cute because she left Primary and said she loved Primary and wanted to come again tomorrow.  She had a little cup with sunflower seeds in it and told Ethan that if she put dirt on the seeds they would grow.  ...

What's up everyone!  This week has been pretty good. We taught a lot of people, did some good service, and just did a lot of good missionary work. But seriously, we've had a really successful week and all the missionaries in Windsor have seen a ton of miracles. We all worked in another companionship's area this Sunday evening because they hadn't found anyone to teach yet. We found 3 new people in an hour, which is huge for us. Hey everyone! It was a great week. I'm in Windsor now. It's a great place and we've been teaching a ton. Prayers for a guy named Tom, who's on date for baptism on March 5th, are always welcome. Breanna got baptized! She was someone I taught in Loveland and I got to go to her baptism. She has a really strong testimony of Jesus Christ and it was a great experience. My new companion, Elder Howard, is a great guy. He's a beast.  It's been a really spiritual, miracle-filled week. We have a lot of cool people we get to teach. Thanks  for all your support! Hello everyone! I am in fact alive!  Things are going well here. Breanna is still set to be baptized on the 22nd. And Esty and her family are wanting to get baptized too! So please be praying for all them. Nothing else really crazy going on here. Things are just going good. Sorry I'm not good at writing emails. Since Ethan didn't write a letter, I figured I would just put what we talked about on the blog.  Those who are subscribed to the blog will be able to see what we chatted about. It's still Christmas break so we had to wake Courtney up to talk to Ethan and she was cold.  It was hilarious because they were matched - both in hoodies - so Ethan took a couple of screenshots and sent them to me.  These two are hilarious when they talk on Tuesdays.  Ethan teases Courtney just like he did before he left and Courtney likes to tease back.  They love each other and it's fun to see. It's been getting colder in Loveland so Ethan said he was chilled and had his hoodie on. (I got a message that night from Elder Bateman's mom asking if I knew that the elders didn't have heat in their apartment and didn't have hot water.  Ethan didn't tell us anything.  Hopefully, they got it all taken care of or stayed with other elders until it was.)   Everyone! Ethan didn't write an email this week so I thought I would share what he talked to us about when he called on Tuesday. It has been a weird week.  Ethan wasn't sure if it was the Taco Bell he ate or trying to adjust to the food in Colorado, but his stomach wasn't doing well.  He thought it had gotten better but it threw him a bit off.  His companion has also been struggling a bit to adjust to the mission so Ethan was trying to help him with that and it was just throwing things off.  When you're a trainer, there are a lot of extra studies you have to do with your companion and more details you have to see to.  It makes things a bit more complicated. Ethan said they ate with a couple last week who was really nice.  During the conversation, the husband was asking questions that were very mission-specific.  After a while, Ethan asked if the man has served as a mission president.  He said he had and then things made a lot more sense bec...

  Hey everyone! It's been a minute since I've written an email but things have been going great here.  Michael, who I was teaching in Casper, got baptized! I, unfortunately, didn't get to see it because I got transferred down to Loveland, Colorado.  Colorado is pretty cool. If I'm being honest, I prefer Wyoming but that isn't to say Colorado isn't great too. Also, my last district was  awesome  so it's been an adjustment.  I'm training again too. His name is Elder Bateman. He's pretty cool. Here in Loveland things are kind of slow teaching wise but it's picking up. We've been working hard and have seen success because of it.  Some notable things: we talked to a flat earther. We had an  awesome  new missionary orientation meeting (President Palmer is  awesome ).   Everyone! Ethan has had a busy day and so I thought I would pass along what we talked about today with him. First, Ethan got to go to the Temple!!  The first time he went through the temple was November 3, 2020, and the second time he went through was November 2, 2021.  Every couple of weeks, his mission president takes a couple of zones (who are within 100 miles) to the temple.  Ethan hasn't been close enough until now.  He was excited and had a great time.  Hopefully, he will get to go more now that he is closer.   Ethan is on the left: Ethan is on the left: Ethan is in Loveland in the Boyd Lake Area.  He hasn't met too many people in his ward because a lot of them have been out of town this week, but they went to the ward chili cook-off and trunk-or-treat.  They were able to meet people there, although Ethan said he doesn't remember all their names. Hey everyone! Ethan didn't write today because he was super busy so I thought I would update you on how he is doing. Ethan is being transferred!  He will be going to Loveland, CO, to serve in the Boyd Lake Ward.  He doesn't know who his companion will be because he is going to train again.  I told him he is the mission trainer. 😉 Right now, he is serving in 2 wards in Casper.  But the area is going to be split so each set of missionaries will only have one ward to cover.  The apartment where Ethan has been living will be given to the companionship of sisters who will be serving in one of the wards and then the elders will have the other ward.  Ethan's current companion is staying so he will continue working in the one ward.   They had a busy day today because they had to get the apartment ready and cleaned out for the sisters to move into.  Usually, Ethan would wait for the transfer bus to get there and pack the morning of his transfer....
