Everyone! Ethan didn't write a letter this week so I'll let you know what we chatted about this morning.  Ethan is in a trio of missionaries right now.  A missionary went to his original assignment so his companion was transferred from Laramie, WY, to be in a trio with Ethan and Elder Howard.  Elder Ray was Ethan's district leader when he was in Wyoming. So they are having a party.  Ethan said it has been really good and they are getting along great. Last p-day they went to Estes Park.  Ethan was really excited to go there.  He and Elder Howard wanted to leave at 4 am so they could watch the sunrise but everyone else wanted to leave at 10 am.  So they left at 10 am.  They got to go inside a haunted hotel where the movie Dumb and Dumber was filmed and also the Shining.  They got to watch taffy being pulled by a machine and they hiked (and fell while hiking) for a little bit.  They had a great time. What's up everyone!  This week has been pretty good. We taught a lot of people, did some good service, and just did a lot of good missionary work. But seriously, we've had a really successful week and all the missionaries in Windsor have seen a ton of miracles. We all worked in another companionship's area this Sunday evening because they hadn't found anyone to teach yet. We found 3 new people in an hour, which is huge for us. Everyone: Ethan didn't write this week so I thought I would share what we talked about when he called today.   Ethan is doing well in Windsor, Colorado.  He said that the weather has been annoying lately.  One day it will be beautiful, the temperature in the 50s, and feel like Spring. The next day it will snow, the temperature in the teens, and feel like Winter.  He wishes it would just make up its mind.  He had an easy winter last year so he was spoiled and is now tired of the snow and cold.  Poor kid! He is enjoying life with Elder Howard.  They seem to be a fun companionship.  The ward is feeding them well and they have been entertained by the children of ward members.  Ethan has some funny stories of what life is like when they visit homes with crazy little kids in them.  He is really entertained and loves it. Hello everyone! I am in fact alive!  Things are going well here. Breanna is still set to be baptized on the 22nd. And Esty and her family are wanting to get baptized too! So please be praying for all them. Nothing else really crazy going on here. Things are just going good. Sorry I'm not good at writing emails. From, Elder Pack  PS.  It has been pretty cold in Loveland and the first picture is on the temperature where is says "-6" degrees.  That is so cold!  Last week Ethan and his companion lost heat and hot water in their apartment.  Ethan thought, because it was the end of the month, that the Church had cut off their utilities because he had been taking long, hot showers.  He thought maybe they got a certain allotment of money for utilities and they had gone over so they didn't have hot water or heat until it re...

Since Ethan didn't write a letter, I figured I would just put what we talked about on the blog.  Those who are subscribed to the blog will be able to see what we chatted about. It's still Christmas break so we had to wake Courtney up to talk to Ethan and she was cold.  It was hilarious because they were matched - both in hoodies - so Ethan took a couple of screenshots and sent them to me.  These two are hilarious when they talk on Tuesdays.  Ethan teases Courtney just like he did before he left and Courtney likes to tease back.  They love each other and it's fun to see. It's been getting colder in Loveland so Ethan said he was chilled and had his hoodie on. (I got a message that night from Elder Bateman's mom asking if I knew that the elders didn't have heat in their apartment and didn't have hot water.  Ethan didn't tell us anything.  Hopefully, they got it all taken care of or stayed with other elders until it was.)   Everyone! Ethan didn't write a letter this week.  They have been having problems with their sim card so he has been a bit frustrated.  They used a ton of data last month using their hotspot and they were put in data jail. 😉  But it's a new month and their sim card still isn't working right.  Luckily, they live close to the Church so they are able to go there and use the WIFI when they need to. Transfers are tomorrow and Ethan is staying in Loveland.  It wasn't a surprise since he has only been there 6 weeks and is still training. But the rest of their district is all being changed.  They are having to combine areas and they have moved the bike areas into the other district, combined them, and made it into a car. The district Ethan is in now will be made up of 3 companionships of elders and 1 companionship of sisters.  Since they will all have cars it will be easier for them to do things on p-day, which Ethan is looking forward to. ...

  Everyone! Ethan has had a busy day and so I thought I would pass along what we talked about today with him. First, Ethan got to go to the Temple!!  The first time he went through the temple was November 3, 2020, and the second time he went through was November 2, 2021.  Every couple of weeks, his mission president takes a couple of zones (who are within 100 miles) to the temple.  Ethan hasn't been close enough until now.  He was excited and had a great time.  Hopefully, he will get to go more now that he is closer.   Ethan is on the left: Ethan is on the left: Ethan is in Loveland in the Boyd Lake Area.  He hasn't met too many people in his ward because a lot of them have been out of town this week, but they went to the ward chili cook-off and trunk-or-treat.  They were able to meet people there, although Ethan said he doesn't remember all their names. Hey everyone! Ethan didn't write today because he was super busy so I thought I would update you on how he is doing. Ethan is being transferred!  He will be going to Loveland, CO, to serve in the Boyd Lake Ward.  He doesn't know who his companion will be because he is going to train again.  I told him he is the mission trainer. 😉 Right now, he is serving in 2 wards in Casper.  But the area is going to be split so each set of missionaries will only have one ward to cover.  The apartment where Ethan has been living will be given to the companionship of sisters who will be serving in one of the wards and then the elders will have the other ward.  Ethan's current companion is staying so he will continue working in the one ward.   They had a busy day today because they had to get the apartment ready and cleaned out for the sisters to move into.  Usually, Ethan would wait for the transfer bus to get there and pack the morning of his transfer....
