One last one

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good day. This is gonna be my last weekly as I head home this Thursday (not that I wrote very many weeklys haha). But I just want to say what a wonderful experience this has been. I've learned so much about my Savior Jesus Christ and myself. I know He lives and that He loves us. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it has brought me so much closer to Jesus Christ. I love you all! Love, Elder Pack Ethan was a huge fan of FlexSeal before his mission.  Apparently, nothing changed.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the emails, packages, and letters for Ethan's birthday last week.  He said he was spoiled and appreciated being thought of. The last transfer in Ethan's mission (minus the one home) happened this week!  He stays in Windsor, CO, continuing with Elder Nichols, and continuing as a Zone Leader.  There are quite a lot of changes in their Zone but Ethan said that change is really good and he is looking forward to a shake-up of things. They had some success last week finding people to teach.  Ethan and Elder Nichols have been driving to parts of their area and then walking around.  They don't knock on doors, they just walk around and talk to whoever is outside.  They were blessed to find people to teach on Sunday and Monday just walking around.  One of them let him borrow an umbrella because it was starting to sprinkle.  When Ethan protested, the man told them that he would get it back from them at Church on Sunday.  They ar...

What's up everyone!  This week has been pretty good. We taught a lot of people, did some good service, and just did a lot of good missionary work. But seriously, we've had a really successful week and all the missionaries in Windsor have seen a ton of miracles. We all worked in another companionship's area this Sunday evening because they hadn't found anyone to teach yet. We found 3 new people in an hour, which is huge for us. So it's been a good week.  Thanks  for all your support! Love, Elder Pack PS:  Here are some things we talked about this week... Ethan is speaking in Sacrament Meeting this Sunday.  They ate dinner at a member of the bishopric's house and, since Elder Howard has spoken recently, Ethan is getting the chance to speak.  He is going to talk on taking upon us the name of Christ and relating it to the Tower of Babel.  The ward usually has speakers that speak on the Come Follow Me topic for the week, or the previous week.   Th...

Everyone! Ethan said he was going to take time today to write an email to everyone but...he got busy and didn't get a chance.  He did send pics and an email to Grandpa Oman so I hijacked it.  That's where I got these pictures from. ;)  Here are some things Ethan shared with us on our phone call today. If anyone is wondering, it is warmer in Loveland, CO, than it is in Ivins!  Ethan has been enjoying great weather and we have been pretty cold.  I told him that he needs to tell the people wherever he serves in the winter that they will be having mild weather while he is there.  It seems that he has been missing all the cold stuff.  That will probably change but right now it's in the mid-60s and Ivins has been in the low-50s. Ethan was so excited to tell us about a family that they started teaching this week.  The father is an inactive member of the Church who reached out to the missionaries to ask to be taught.  His wife and 2 sons (ages 10 and...

Hey everyone! This week was pretty good. We got some snow today. People were saying we were gonna get a lot but we only got about 3 or 4 inches.  We also started teaching a guy named Justin. We're gonna meet with him again today and we'll see how interested he actually is but our first lesson went pretty well.  I also had one of the best meals so far this week. A big ol delicious steak, salad, and French fries. The member who made it is super good at cooking. The picture I took of it doesn't do it justice.  Ethan's steak dinner I also got to go to zone conference. The focus was on teaching skills like setting expectations. It was pretty great. President Palmer playing video games Also, I got to hold a sword. A member we were meeting with has a ton of swords and stuff. It is pretty sweet. Holding a cool sword Anyway,  thanks  for reading everyone! You are all great. Have a great week! From, Elder Pack PS: We had a fun chat with Ethan today.  He showed us the...

Hey everyone! This week was pretty great. We have been super busy and we taught a ton of lessons. So a successful week for us! We also had some cool weather as well. Casper has been great. Please say a prayer or two for Michael, Sarah, and Nicole! I'll include some pictures, including a whole bunch of pictures of the sky. Casper has some beautiful skies. Hope your week has been great! Love you all. From, Elder Pack PS.  Ethan is still doing well in Casper.  Dinner appointments have been a bit hit and miss but they have been getting good food. He has been training and is having a hard time letting his greenie struggle.  Ethan said his goal this week is to let his companion lead more so he can get experience.  Training is usually for 2 transfers and then the greenie should be ready to train another missionary.   If the greenie still needs help, Ethan said it is the responsibility of all the other missionaries to help him along.  But Ethan has found it ha...

H ey everyone!  Hope your week has been going good. Things have been good here. Nothing really notable but it's been a good week nevertheless. I figured I should share a quick scripture with you all because otherwise, this email would be too short haha. Mosiah 14:5, in the Book of Mormon, is my favorite scripture. The prophet Nephi is quoting Isaiah when he says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." That verse is talking about Jesus Christ and his atonement. Because of what Christ willingly went through (his stripes), we can be healed of our problems and sins. It's a pretty awesome blessing in my opinion. Well,  thanks  for all of your support everyone! I appreciate it. Things are going good here in Casper.  Thanks ! Elder Pack PS:  Ethan says nothing is happening but here is the real story... They had greenie conference last week. That's wh...

Hey everyone! Hope your week has been good. Mine has been a bit stressful but good anyway. It's just how it be sometimes. I got a new companion, Elder Elkins. He's pretty cool. He's from Hurricane, Utah, so pretty close to St. George. Pday was fun today. We played a lot of sports and board games.  Sorry for the short email. But I'm alive and doing well in Casper! Thanks  for all of your support! It means a lot. Love, Elder Pack PS: Ethan is training Elder Elkins.  This is the second time Ethan has trained and he said it is going a lot better than the first time.  "I have matured since the last time I trained."  It's hilarious that Elder Elkins is from Hurricane, so close to home.  But they are both enjoying the mild Wyoming weather.  Ethan said it has been beautiful and he talked to us as he sat on the balcony of his apartment (he has a really nice apartment). Elder Elkins was able to go to the Provo MTC for part of his MTC experience.  It was int...
