Hey everyone! Some exciting news this week: I'm getting transferred to Greeley, Colorado! I've heard good things about it. And my trainee Elder Blackham is training someone else here in Riverton. I'm excited. Other than that, not much has happened. Shawn is still on date to be baptized on the 10th, so please be praying for him. Well, thanks for reading! I hope all your weeks will be good. See ya! Elder Pack PS: The picture is of Ethan with the Butterfield family who are great members and have been really good to the missionaries. Ethan's new area is Centennial II in Greeley, CO.  He is going to be the junior companion to the District leader, which is right where he wants to be - not the one in charge. haha!  He is really excited about the change because his trainer served in Greeley and told him stories about it.  Ethan said there is a lot of work to do there and a lot of ... interesting people to serve.   Weld County, where Greeley is, wants to secede and join ...

Hi everyone! I hope things are going good with you all. We have been seeing a lot of blessings here, which is always  awesome . Also, there is only one week until transfers, so I'll see if I'm staying or leaving on Sunday. This is a good area and like I've said, I've seen a lot of miracles and blessings here. One cool thing that happened was that we got to teach the plan of salvation to a family, and they really liked it.  Also, we got to go to a sweat with someone we're teaching out on the reservation. That was really cool. Definitely different than anything I've ever done, that's for sure. Well, sorry this one is kind of short and I'll only have a few pictures, but it has been a great week.  Thanks  everyone, I appreciate you!  From, Elder Pack Sweaty Ethan! Someone knows that Ethan loves Red Vines. PS.   I have started taking notes when we talk to Ethan so I can fill everyone in on what he doesn't say.  Funny kid!! They taught a man who is in Paki...

Hey everyone! It has been a pretty regular week. We have managed to get back in contact with Shawn and helped him figure out some things, so now we should be meeting with him regularly again. It was cool because I followed a prompting to go see him and it was exactly what he needed. Today my district and I made a snowman that looks like our mission president, President Palmer. I'll attach a photo of it down below. Other than that, things were just pretty normal. We taught some good lessons and had zone conference in Casper on Friday. It also snowed, but everywhere else got hit way worse than we did, so we don't have much snow here.  Thanks for reading everyone! You're all awesome. Thanks for all of your support! From, Elder Pack Things Ethan mentioned when we talked to him: They are sleeping with their windows open because they can't control the temperature in their apartment.  They have a radiator and a thermostat but it isn't working correctly (or they can't f...

Ethan didn't write a letter this week.  He may have gotten too busy or maybe he didn't because he had talked to us. But here are some things he told us when he called.  There isn't much. The investigator they have been working with, Shawn, had a job opportunity in Texas so he moved.  They had been trying to teach him via technology to keep him on-date for baptism (he was going to be back in Wyoming before his baptism date) but they had been having a hard time getting ahold of him.  Ethan told us that the job offer had fallen through in Texas and Shawn had been able to find a job back in Riverton.  Shawn told them that the happiest he has been was when he was meeting with the missionaries and noticed a difference when he moved.  So he is back and they are continuing to teach him. The weather hasn't been too bad.  The members have told the missionaries that it has been a really mild winter.  They are now worried about water and hoping they have enou...

Hey everyone! To be honest, this week was pretty normal. Shawn, the person on date, is in Texas right now. That won't be a problem if we can get in contact with him so he can still be on date. He still seems really motivated to be baptized, but now he just has to stay that way so we can have zoom lessons with him. Also, we taught seminary these last 2 days, and we'll be doing it the rest of this week too. We have to be there at 6:30. It's definitely a new experience. Haha. Now I know what it feels like when the class doesn't talk. Haha. Well,  thanks  for all of your support. Keep on going! From, Elder Pack PS.  I had people ask about the pictures from last week so I asked Ethan.   The " Elder Snack" picture story:  There is an elder in his district who takes pictures of missionary's tags and then uses some photo editing software on his phone to change the names.  So, Ethan's tag was changed to "Elder Snack." The stuffed lamb was found by an ...

Hey Everyone! Pretty normal week overall. Transfers will be tomorrow and it looks like I'm staying in Riverton for another transfer. I'm excited because I really like it here.  Everyone keep praying for Shawn! He is progressing really well and is on date for April 9th. He is awesome. Here are some pictures that I got this week. Thanks everyone! You're all awesome.  See ya, Elder Pack PS: Ethan told us today that his companion saved his life. They were doing service for guy, cleaning out things, and his companion noticed a spider coming down that was going to land on Ethan's head.  He told Ethan and when the spider turned on its string, Ethan saw the red hourglass on its stomach.  It was a black widow making its way down to Ethan.  Ethan moved and it started going back up its string.  But that was the last mistake it ever made.  Ethan put an end to the spider but it wasn't a fun experience for him. He never sends captions or stories with his pictures, s...

Hey everyone! It has been a pretty great week here in Riverton.  Shawn, our miracle referral, is progressing so fast and is now on date to be baptized! Everyone please pray for him that he will continue to progress and make the right choices. We haven't even talked about the word of wisdom and he has already thrown away his vape, tobacco, and other stuff like that. His faith is so amazing!  Other than that, it has been a pretty normal week. We've been making slow but steady progress with the other people we're teaching.  On another note, we were gonna go fishing with a less active member I ran into on Facebook, but he crashed his car in Billings so we will hopefully go next week. I'm not sure what we're going to be doing today yet, but it will probably be something fun. Hopefully, haha. Thanks  for all of your support. If there is one thing that I want to leave with those I have the chance to talk to and teach, as well as all of you, it is that the Book of Mor...

Hi everyone!  This week was pretty great. We saw a lot of miracles. The biggest one was a lesson with someone named Shawn. He was referred to us by his brother. We went out and talked to him, and he said that he wants to be baptized so he can start new. It was awesome! He was so excited in our lesson with him. He also said he already believes that the Book of Mormon is true '100%'! How awesome is that! We're going to keep working with him to really affirm that testimony. Everyone, please pray for Shawn that he will continue to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ! Nothing is really as exciting as that, but we went on a hike today in Sinks Canyon state park. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun. I'll include some pictures. We had a few other good lessons this week as well. Thanks for all of your support! I'm grateful for it and for all of your prayers. Have a great week! From, Elder Pack

Hey Everyone! I hope you're all doing good. Its been a pretty fast week here in Riverton. We, unfortunately, didn't get to go to the sweat last week, but we're hoping for next week. We had a cool experience yesterday! We recently dropped someone because he wasn't going to be able to meet for a few months. Well, the bishop asked us to go see him because Corey, the guy, had been talking to bishop and our elder's quorum president about maybe being baptized! So we went over and Corey said that his family would like to take the lessons! He just didn't want us over that time we stopped by because his uncle was there and he's pretty foul-mouthed. So that was awesome! Otherwise, it's been a pretty normal week. Just trying to get in contact with people and teaching lessons. I've been able to meet a lot of cool people here, and I've seen a lot of tender mercies. Thanks for all of your support! You're all awesome. Thanks! From, Elder Pack

Hey everyone! Another week up in Riverton. Apparently, it's been a pretty mild winter, so they're expecting a dry summer. At least it isn't negative 30!  Teaching has been going well. We are finding a lot of new people. Now the hard part is staying in contact with them. Sometimes people drop off for a bit and then we have to work to get back in contact. I'm just grateful we're able to teach people! We had 6 lessons yesterday. 4 with members, 1 with a recent convert, and 1 with a nonmember. So, it was a pretty busy day! It was good to be teaching though. A guy living on the reservation we do service for invited us to a sweat. So we're gonna go do it obviously. The other elders in the ward went once and it sounded like a cool experience. I'm pretty excited! Things are going well in general. I'm happy to be up here. It's been a great area so far. I've been able to meet lots of cool people. Thanks for all of your support and prayers! I can definite...

Hi everyone! Sorry for not writing last week, it has been pretty crazy. Both Elder Blackham and I got transferred up to Riverton Wyoming together! It has been a new experience, especially after having been in the same area for 6 months. I thought I was going to stay another transfer, but I guess not haha. Up here, it's pretty cold right now, but not as windy as Wyoming can be. We also had to say goodbye to the Tacoma we were driving.  We have had a good week though. We swept the area, Mountain View 1, so it's been a lot of contacting members and people we are teaching. I definitely have had some cool spiritual experiences and some great lessons. I have definitely seen a lot of blessings, in both my life and in the lives of others. We had an especially awesome lesson with a family last night, and the spirit was especially strong. Anyway, I finally have some pictures. One is Elder Blackham and me in front of an abandoned building on the rez. One is my old district and the one tha...
