Hey everyone! We got to talk to Ethan and he is doing really well.  It has been a busy week for him.  They had transfers last Wednesday.  He is staying in Windsor but half of his zone had changes so he and his companion were up at 4:45 to get ready and get to the transfer bus.  They are in charge of making sure all the missionaries in their zone are on the transfer bus with their stuff in the morning and then off the transfer bus in the afternoon with all their stuff.  Ethan earned his name because he was in charge of packing all the stuff into one of the compartments under the bus.  Ethan called it Tetris.  He said many mentioned that he lived up to his name.  Along with transfers, Ethan and Elder Nichols had to move furniture for missionaries.  One area has a trio of sisters, so they had to get them another bed.  Another elder has a weight set he uses for rehab (he must have an injury) and so Ethan and his companion had to move a bunch...

Hey everyone! Thanks for the emails, packages, and letters for Ethan's birthday last week.  He said he was spoiled and appreciated being thought of. The last transfer in Ethan's mission (minus the one home) happened this week!  He stays in Windsor, CO, continuing with Elder Nichols, and continuing as a Zone Leader.  There are quite a lot of changes in their Zone but Ethan said that change is really good and he is looking forward to a shake-up of things. They had some success last week finding people to teach.  Ethan and Elder Nichols have been driving to parts of their area and then walking around.  They don't knock on doors, they just walk around and talk to whoever is outside.  They were blessed to find people to teach on Sunday and Monday just walking around.  One of them let him borrow an umbrella because it was starting to sprinkle.  When Ethan protested, the man told them that he would get it back from them at Church on Sunday.  They ar...

Everyone! Ethan didn't write this week, not that we are surprised (haha).  But he is doing really well.  It is transfers week and he is staying put for another 6 weeks. Elder Howard is being transferred which is sad.  They got along really well and will actually be roommates when they go to BYU in the Fall. Elder Howard goes home after Ethan so he will get home just in time for school to start.  Ethan is really excited that they will be roommates.  Watch out BYU!  Ethan is, however, excited for his new companion, Elder Nichols.  Ethan was his district leader previously so he knows who he is and said that Elder Nichols is a good guy.  Ethan may or may not finish his mission in this area.  There is only one more transfer of Ethan's mission.  Ethan's release date is June 30th, which is 2 weeks earlier than we thought.  His mission president finishes on July 1 st  so the missionaries are going home with their mission preside...

Everyone! Here I am again, letting you know what Ethan told us about during his phone call (although he sends a lot of pictures afterward and has to explain them a bit).   It's transfer time and Ethan is staying put in Windsor, CO.  He is excited because he has really enjoyed it.  The only bummer is that Elder Ray (the newest member of their trio) is being transferred.  Ethan and Elder Howard will continue on as Zone Leaders in Windsor but Elder Ray is going back to Wyoming.  They are sad to see him go because the three of them had a lot of fun together.  There were only 13 missionaries (8 sisters and 5 elders) coming into the mission this transfer so Ethan and his companion weren't needed to go to the airport to pick up missionaries.  He was hoping they would be needed but thinks they may be needed next month.   But they did have to do one more stupid thing together as a companionship before the transfer.  I guess they played a gam...

Hi everyone!  I hope your week has been going good. I found out I'll be leaving Loveland and heading over to Windsor! I'm excited but I'm gonna miss Loveland.  It was a really fun week. I really enjoy being a missionary. Breanna is going to be baptized this Saturday and I'm super excited for her! She has the strongest testimony of Jesus Christ that I've ever seen. Pday today was fun. Just a lot of basketball and chair soccer, as well as this game called peach ball that we play like ultimate Frisbee, but with a foam football and the goal is to get it into the hoop.  Well, I appreciate all of your love and support! Being a missionary is awesome. I've learned so much about Jesus Christ and have grown a lot myself. From, Elder Pack PS: These are things we talked about in our phone call but first, the videos he sent made me laugh. They have a wheel that you can spin so they put their names on it and whoever's name it landed on had to do something weird, like ge...

Everyone! Ethan didn't write a letter this week.  They have been having problems with their sim card so he has been a bit frustrated.  They used a ton of data last month using their hotspot and they were put in data jail. 😉  But it's a new month and their sim card still isn't working right.  Luckily, they live close to the Church so they are able to go there and use the WIFI when they need to. Transfers are tomorrow and Ethan is staying in Loveland.  It wasn't a surprise since he has only been there 6 weeks and is still training. But the rest of their district is all being changed.  They are having to combine areas and they have moved the bike areas into the other district, combined them, and made it into a car. The district Ethan is in now will be made up of 3 companionships of elders and 1 companionship of sisters.  Since they will all have cars it will be easier for them to do things on p-day, which Ethan is looking forward to. ...

Hey everyone! Ethan didn't write today because he was super busy so I thought I would update you on how he is doing. Ethan is being transferred!  He will be going to Loveland, CO, to serve in the Boyd Lake Ward.  He doesn't know who his companion will be because he is going to train again.  I told him he is the mission trainer. 😉 Right now, he is serving in 2 wards in Casper.  But the area is going to be split so each set of missionaries will only have one ward to cover.  The apartment where Ethan has been living will be given to the companionship of sisters who will be serving in one of the wards and then the elders will have the other ward.  Ethan's current companion is staying so he will continue working in the one ward.   They had a busy day today because they had to get the apartment ready and cleaned out for the sisters to move into.  Usually, Ethan would wait for the transfer bus to get there and pack the morning of his transfer....

Hey everyone! This week was pretty good. We got some snow today. People were saying we were gonna get a lot but we only got about 3 or 4 inches.  We also started teaching a guy named Justin. We're gonna meet with him again today and we'll see how interested he actually is but our first lesson went pretty well.  I also had one of the best meals so far this week. A big ol delicious steak, salad, and French fries. The member who made it is super good at cooking. The picture I took of it doesn't do it justice.  Ethan's steak dinner I also got to go to zone conference. The focus was on teaching skills like setting expectations. It was pretty great. President Palmer playing video games Also, I got to hold a sword. A member we were meeting with has a ton of swords and stuff. It is pretty sweet. Holding a cool sword Anyway,  thanks  for reading everyone! You are all great. Have a great week! From, Elder Pack PS: We had a fun chat with Ethan today.  He showed us the...
