Hey everyone!

Ethan didn't write today because he was super busy so I thought I would update you on how he is doing.

Ethan is being transferred!  He will be going to Loveland, CO, to serve in the Boyd Lake Ward.  He doesn't know who his companion will be because he is going to train again.  I told him he is the mission trainer. 😉 Right now, he is serving in 2 wards in Casper.  But the area is going to be split so each set of missionaries will only have one ward to cover.  The apartment where Ethan has been living will be given to the companionship of sisters who will be serving in one of the wards and then the elders will have the other ward.  Ethan's current companion is staying so he will continue working in the one ward.

They had a busy day today because they had to get the apartment ready and cleaned out for the sisters to move into.  Usually, Ethan would wait for the transfer bus to get there and pack the morning of his transfer.  But this time, they are having to clean and pack the day before.  They will spend tonight at the District leader's apartment and then transfer in the morning.  The "Greenie Draft" will take place tonight so Ethan will watch it virtually to find out who his companion will be.  His current District Leader is going to Loveland also to be the Zone Leader, so Ethan and that elder will drive to Fort Collins together in the morning.  Ethan will pick up his greenie and car then continue on to Loveland.

What he knows about his new zone: there are sisters so he is going to have to remember how to use his manners (he has been in an all elder district for a long time), they are the only car in the district and are given 1,200 miles per month (which is a lot) so the area must be large, and it gets snow.  It is also close enough that he will probably be able to go to the temple.  The mission president has been rotating taking zones that are close to Fort Collins.  That would be a great experience.

Ethan is a bit sad because he loved serving in Casper.  He said he is really going to miss the beautiful skies in Wyoming.  And they have someone they have been teaching who is being baptized on Saturday so he will miss the service but he will get to watch it via Zoom.   Ethan said there are some members in Casper that he is going to miss but there are some stresses that he won't miss.  Serving in 2 wards has been a lot and kind of stressful.

Last week one of the wards had a Chili Cookoff. The missionaries were given $60 and a crockpot so they could participate.  I sent Ethan a recipe and he said it turned out well.  He thinks there were a few too many onions, but it was still good.  I was impressed!

That's about it.  I'm sure there are other things he told me about that I don't remember, but most of our conversation was about his transfer.

Thanks for the support!
-Michelle
