Hey everyone!
PS. Ethan told us today that the Zone Leaders called them and asked if they "like tacos." Apparently, that is mission speak for "Do you want a new Toyota Tacoma to drive instead of the car you have been driving so the sisters can have your old car?" They said "yes" and so they are spending part of their pday getting the truck from the Zone Leaders. Ethan said usually the Zone Leaders are the only ones with the trucks because they have to help people haul furniture and things. There is a sensor (or something) in the mission vehicles that tells you if you are driving too fast, reckless, etc. The rental car the sisters were using didn't have one and so the elders got a new truck with a sensor so they could give their old car to the sisters so they would also have a sensor. Ethan said it's a good thing because they tried to follow the sisters to the service project and they almost lost them because the sisters were driving a bit too fast. Haha! So now, not only is Ethan driving, but he is driving a truck. It will be good when it starts to snow.
As I think I told you last week, I'm still in Wellington with my companion Elder Unruh. This is his last transfer, and he trained me so we'll have been companions for about 4 and a half months by the time this transfer is over. (Ethan told us today on the phone that there is a mission rule that the missionary going home can't drive during their last transfer period. So Ethan has been doing all the driving, which is hilarious because Ethan doesn't like to drive. He much prefers to ride in the car so this is interesting.)
Over these past few weeks, our teaching pool has diminished a lot. We had to drop a few people who weren't progressing and a few people dropped us, haha! Fortunately, we've been seeing success in finding people with interest, so we have a few new person prospects.
The fire is still burning up here. We could actually see the glow from our apartment a few nights ago! It shouldn't be a problem for us here though. It looks pretty crazy!
We're now allowed to go inside homes! We still have to wear our masks, so we can't eat inside yet, but it's a start. It's new for me because it's all I've known. I've only been in like 5 houses in my whole mission, and I've been out for 3 months, haha! (Ethan told us last Saturday that their Ward Mission Leader's wife is trying to figure out loopholes so they can go in their house to eat. She wants to open the windows so it's like they are outside instead of inside so they can take off their masks. But they are holding firm and being obedient, although they think it's pretty funny.)
Well, I love you all. Thanks for all of your support. I'll email you next week!
See ya,

Service project (yes, he is still wearing shorts everyone but we did send him with jeans, in case you were wondering)
Smoke from the fire
Elder Unruh and I in a pumpkin patch.
(Ethan doesn't think he needs a haircut yet, anyone else disagree?! They have a woman in their ward who has a mobile salon who is going to cut Elder Unruh's hair today. I'm hoping she can convince Ethan that he needs his cut too. But we'll see.)

The smoke from the Cameron Peak Fire.
The Wellington District doing service on p-day. (Ethan told us they raked 8-9 bags of leaves from a woman's yard and then used their cars to haul the bags to the dump. It looks like they had fun.)
