Hey everyone!
This week was a pretty good one. Right now we're struggling to get in contact with everyone we're teaching, but it's coming slowly. We'll see what we're going to do about all that.
Some cool things that happened this week: I ate authentic ramen that a member made us along with Philly cheesesteaks, looked at some murals downtown, went to zone conference in Fort Collins and got to see the temple, move a few tons of gravel, and spent some time in the apartment that I stayed my first night in 9 months ago. So it has been a pretty good week. And on Friday, Elder Soares is going to visit the mission virtually so I've been studying a bunch of his talks. It's going to be great.
Thanks for all of your support! Hope things are going good for you all. I think you're all great.
See ya!
Elder Pack
PS: Ethan said that Colorado is quite different from Wyoming. They only have half the ward attending Sacrament meeting each week (they rotate) and the other classes are all virtual. That is quite the change from having everything in person like is happening in Wyoming. There was an elder in his first district who had served in Wyoming and kept complaining about Colorado. Ethan says he know understands. But things are less restrictive from the last time he served in Colorado so that's good.
Their apartment is outside their area. Ethan isn't sure why but thinks it may be because that is where housing is more affordable. They have a church across the street from them but it's in another zone so they have to get permission from the APs in order to go there. So they go to the institute building to play on p-days or to another church building that is in their zone. And they don't have a washer/dryer in their apartment so they have to do the laundry mat thing every p-day. Poor guy. haha!
The member who made them ramen is a chef. She gave them chopsticks to eat the ramen and Ethan struggled. 😉 He got a crash course on how to use them and was able to get some noodles to his mouth. That family is really good to the missionaries and they feed them every Saturday.
