Hey Everyone!

I'm still doing good. We are keeping really busy right now with 3 wards. If you could all pray for the missionary work here in Casper, I'd really appreciate it.

I want to share a quick scripture with you all. 2 Nephi 32 verses 8 and 9, in the Book of Mormon. The prophet Nephi says, "

8 And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform anything unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul."

So basically, pray. It helps out a lot and it does work. If you don't know for yourself that prayer can help you through trials and can give you answers to important questions, then try it.

Thanks for all your support everyone! Love you all.

Ethan got a haircut.  It looks sharp!

PS:  Ethan is still training Elder Elgins and also has another companion, Elder Foutz, who has been in the mission one transfer.  He said it has been a challenge to train one companion while still helping another companion who is still in training himself.  But he said it has been fun with the three of them.  They are covering three wards (Casper 2nd, 3rd, and 10th Wards) and it is keeping them busy.  Ethan said it's funny that each time they go to a house the people say "Oh, there are three of you."  And they have to explain the whole story each time.  He said that part is getting old.  But it will probably just be for another 3 or 4 weeks until they have the next transfer and things are moved around.

This is the trio: (Ethan, Elkins and Foutz)

Poor Elder Foutz falls asleep all the time but especially during companionship study.

The car pictures he sent are from a family's house where they ate dinner one night.  There are a lot of cars at their house and they have fixed some of them up.  Ethan thought they looked fun so he took pictures of them.

Ethan is learning a lot about home improvement.  They did service where they put shingles on a backyard shed.  Ethan has also hung drywall, done electrical work (that was crazy!) and demo work, and he has made chicken coops.  He has enjoyed the different service opportunities because they are more than just helping people move.

Ethan and his companions drive a van.  The zone leaders needed to borrow the van to drive to Fort Collins the other day and so they traded their Tacoma with the van.  But when Ethan and his companions got in the truck to drive it...it stunk!  Apparently, the zone leaders had some wild game meat (I think it was elk but I can't remember for sure) and some blood had spilled on the carpet of their truck.  They didn't realize it right away and Ethan said it smells so bad.  Ethan was excited to drive the red Tacoma because he thought it would be cool, but they had to spray Fabreeze each time they get in the truck because it stunk so bad.  They gave the zone leaders a really hard time about it when they saw them again.  Ethan said there is enough text evidence to prove that it was smelling before the exchange so he doesn't get blamed for it. 😉

Their district has been at the church playing games all day.  They have a ping pong table in the church, so that has been fun.  They played basketball and floor hockey. He is going to get a haircut today and do some shopping then they are off to work again.  The work is slow right now, but he is hoping they can find people who are ready to make changes in their lives.

This is the District before the last transfers:

This is the new District playing on a handcart that is outside their church building.
