Hey everybody!
Ethan's p-day was switched to Monday so we got to talk to him last night.  He said that the Church is trying to standardize p-days across the world so all missionaries will have p-day on Monday.  He doesn't know exactly why or how this will affect transfers or incoming missionaries but...he doesn't have to worry about that anymore.  He said they could start mailing greenies to the mission.  haha!
Ethan's District went to Estes Park with his mission president to go on some hikes and enjoy the great weather.  They got to drive the transfer van so they went all in one van and got to talk and ask questions of their mission president.  He is finishing his time as president on July 1st so they asked him questions about the incoming mission president (President Sorenson) and how the transition of keys works.  It is interesting.

They hiked the Emerald Lake trail.  This was the hike they did the last time they went but it wasn't as snowy and slippery.  There were places with ice, as you can see from the pictures, but Ethan said it was a beautiful day.

After the hike, they walked around the town to look at tourist shops and then ate lunch. Ethan got a hamburger and fries and it was something like $17.  He said the burger was good but the fries were not.  But he was so proud that he didn't have to spend any personal money to eat lunch.  They didn't need groceries this week so they only had to buy toilet paper, which left him with enough money to pay tourist prices for a burger. haha!
Bryan had a very proud moment when Ethan told us that he had taken 2 water bottles for himself for the hike and one "community" water bottle for those who had forgotten water.  He also took a first aid kit just in case.  He was prepared!!
Ethan to go to play with a hedgehog and a sugar glider the other day.  The sugar glider pooped and peed on him but Ethan said that since they have now bonded, the sugar glider probably won't pee on him anymore.  He is hilarious and had a lot of fun playing with the animals.

Well, that was about it from Ethan.  We didn't get to talk too long because it was the end of the day.  But he is doing really well, he is happy, and he is healthy.  The work is moving along in Colorado.
Thank you for all your support of Ethan!
-Michelle
